Weight Loss for the Week: .5lbs
I got in almost all my workouts this week! I only missed Friday's, so that was good. I also got to go on long walks outdoors this week- the sun has finally returned! And it is glorious! Kerry and I even did a nice, long walk all over Midtown yesterday morning. I have to say, that same walk used to feel so long a while back, yesterday, it just flew by- especially since we were talking nonstop. It felt so nice each time I worked out. I feel gross when I don't get to do it these days.
School was mainly good this week- we got an unexpected snow day on Wednesday. And while it meant I had to drive back home on the slick roads, it was still nice to be back in my pj's by 8am. I just relaxed and read most of the day. I haven't gotten to do something like that in awhile, so I appreciated having that time just for me. The kids seemed to enjoy it a lot too. We're getting closer to Spring Break, and they are getting antsy. But, so am I, and so are a lot of other teachers. Third Quarter is the longest quarter, I swear. I'm so glad we have tomorrow off too. I need to do some grading and prepping, but I will also be sleeping in, and maybe go to the zoo or something.
This weekend has been pretty good. I spent Friday night finishing the book for Book Club (since I assigned it). We read The Monuments Men- so good! I definitely recommend it. Saturday, I went for a walk with Kerry, then we got some breakfast at Stone Soup- love their eggs and bacon! Afterwards, I went home to finish getting ready for Book Club. We had a really nice, fun meeting- as we always do :) After that, I decided to actually go and see the movie. That was a mistake, a huge mistake. DO NOT SEE THAT MOVIE. It was terrible. They had this perfectly intriguing and great TRUE story, and then Hollywood went and butchered it all. Bad form, Hollywood, bad form.
Today, I went to Mass, and I think I may be getting more involved with the Young Adults group now. I think it would be good for me probably. We will see. Then, Kerry and I had brunch at Local, and we think the menu is changing too much and not for the better really. After that, we decided to go and see "American Hustle"- really crazy storyline, but I liked it. Then, I came home, and I have been relaxing ever since- especially since I have one more day to get ready for the school week. OH! Also, this week, Kerry and I have been really kicking into gear counting down and getting totally psyched for our upcoming trip to Cancun!!! 20 more days!!! Sorry to all who get annoyed by us, but not really that sorry, lol.
Now, time to get excited for another episode of Downton!!!
Tip of the Week: Read something every day.
