12/8- Mary, did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?

Weight Loss for the Week: 0lbs

I did the elliptical a good number of times this week (and watched Christmas movies on the screen while doing so). It was nice; I worked up a good sweat. And watching the movies made it easier to not notice how much time was left, so it went by much quicker. I stayed on track with points for the most part. My week got a bit hectic at the end, so I was glad I had an easier start to it all.

School was fine this week. My classes are all finishing up their units and getting ready for their exams next week. They're getting a little antsy, and so are the teachers. We're all excited for our nice, long break. My kids did make me awfully proud this week. All five of my classes completed their class goals for the Canned Food Drive. They raised $1,717 and $37 worth of canned good. So awesome! Even though they make me crazy, they are pretty good eggs as far as eggs go.

Wednesday evening, I got to see Amy and the godkids. We had dinner at her in-laws (yay for pot pie!), and then we went to Starry Nights at Shelby Farms. It was so much fun! The lights are beautiful, and they have a lot of Memphis-themed ones this year which was really cool. We stopped at the midpoint, and we ended up going to the petting zoo. It was fun to watch Lizzy look at all the animals before finally petting some of them like the kangaroo, goats, and bunnies. Too adorable! Thursday, I went over to Sean's, and we had a nice dinner and caught up for awhile :)  Friday was Conor's 30th birthday. Dad and Diane came to town to celebrate. We went to a movie, and then to Central BBQ for dinner before heading to Mom's for dessert, presents, and Phase 10. Such fun! Saturday morning, I proctored the HSPT. Then, I went to lunch with Dad and Diane, and we walked around the Square for a bit. Later, Diane and I went to the Metal Museum (loved it!), and then to Old Navy where she treated me to some new clothes :)

After that, I headed over the CYA Christmas dinner and gift exchange at Maureen's. The food was delicious, the company was splendid, and the gift exchange was fun! The gift I brought was the first to be opened and the first to be stolen, hehe! I got a gigantic bottle of lavender oil with a list of 18 uses- I will look into those, but honestly, I am more than happy to just soak in a tub with it. I love nice bath products like that :) Yesterday, Kristin came to Mass with me, and then we went to Fellowship. After that, I went to IHOP with Mom, Memaw, and Conor for another birthday celebration. At this point, I was getting very tired, so I went home and crashed hard. I got up in time for the CYA Leadership meeting. I got some energy after that, so I started my holiday baking. Today, I had the day off from work, so I have been working to take care of grades and prep for the last few weeks. I'm making progress, but I still have plenty to do. I can do it!

Now, to get some sleep to be rested for the week ahead!
