9/14- I say a little prayer for you

Weight Loss for the Week: 0lbs

I did not get in all my workouts this week, but I did track my points well. And I only ate out a few times this week meaning I had far more control over the ingredients and portion sizes which is always good. I wish I had been able to get in all my workouts this week. I feel more stressed and tense when I don't get in all of them.  That will be this week's goal: Get in all workouts!

School went well this week. My juniors are almost done with "Beowulf" which is good. It's going by a bit faster than last year which is really nice. My seniors finished "Gilgamesh" and have a few poems left for this unit. They got to start working on a project in class on Friday- some even finished it! My sophomores are almost done with their second chapter and seem to be getting the hang of my class. All of this means that everyone will be able to test this Friday! My hope is that in doing this, more unit tests will align in the future helping to keep me saner.

There was a lot happening socially this week. Monday night, I went to Theology on Tap with other folks from CYA. It was very interesting and engaging. Tuesday, Sean came over and we hung out and had some dinner. Then, I completed my Homily Prep participation. I really enjoyed that- I hope to modify it and do something similar to it with my students. Wednesday, we had a nice Bible Study- so many laughs! Friday, we had our normal HPC meeting at the Saucer, and then I came home and crashed pretty early. Saturday morning, Mom, Leslie, Belle, and I went to Elmwood Cemetery as part of Downtown Museum Day. It was beautiful and so interesting! We ended up spending almost three hours there for our self-guided tour. When I got home, I had an invite to go to Cooper-Young Fest with a few neighbors, so I went there. We walked all over a few times. It was such nice weather for it! We got to go into the House of Mews and play with the cats and kittens which was a lot of fun :)  This morning, after Mass, some of us went out for breakfast, and we sat outside to continue enjoying this gorgeous weather. This afternoon, Mom, Memaw, and I went to see "Addams Family: The Musical." It was hysterical!

Now, time to make sure everything is ready for the week ahead and get some rest.
