8/18- Sweepin' the clouds away, on my way to where the air is sweet

Weight Loss for the Week: 0lbs

Okay, so this week was crazy busy. I had in service most of the week. I feel significantly more informed now about the school, policies, etc. So, that's nice. I've also met a ton of the teachers- still working on names- they're all really friendly and helpful which I totally appreciate.  I've helped clean out and set up my two main rooms. Pretty routine for the most part- minus the grill that was left in the Theology room.  Yes, grill. Pictures below. We used it as a doorstop for the day, and then I threw it out because it was dirty and gross.

Now, posters, calendars, and other decorations have been put up in each room. I think they look cute- let's hope they stay that way ;)  I've got most of this first week planned and prepped, but I'm sure I'll re-evaluate and tweak some of it here and there as I always do. A part of me is calmer this year than last year, but I'm still getting a little anxious for the year to just be underway. I like being in the routine of it all. I met a few students at Registration- they seem really nice and friendly :)  Now, I've got to work on learning all of their names. Just 100+, no biggie, right???

I've had some fun catching up with friends this week as well. Katey and I went to Bar Louie Wednesday- it was so nice to catch up with her :) Can't wait to do it again. Thursday, Mary Kathryn, Ray and Gianna were in town, so I went over and finally got to meet Gianna!!! Such an adorable and precious baby! I can't believe she's already 2 months old- where has the time gone? I just loved holding her, talking to her, taking pictures of her (she already knows how to pose), etc. And it was great to see MK, Ray, and the family. They're always so much fun! I just love hanging out with them. Then, Ashly spent the night, and we enjoyed the night up on the roof until we were ready for bed.  One of my friends had a baby shower yesterday- can't believe how many people I know are having kids! It was a very nice shower (too much good food) :) I love looking at all the teeny, tiny baby clothes! And I got to see Jenn last night for the first time in almost a month- I missed her! I'm glad she's enjoying her new school :)  All this catching up meant a lot of food and whatnot. That and the fact that I did not get in all my regular workouts would be why there was no weight loss.

I did get in over half my normal workouts. I'm glad I did my best to stick to my schedule during inservice because I know that will help as the school year starts. I know I'm going to want to sleep/nap a lot more than normal the next week or so, but I'm going to keep going on walks and all to stay focused on the life goal :)

Gianna Marie :) Such a beauty!

Tip of the Week: Find ways to make water fun :) It's not always easy to down your 8 8oz glasses each day, so try flavoring it- I like lemons... Correction: I LOVE lemons. I just got this infuser from BB&B, but I'm having trouble with unscrewing it (it seems like someone else unscrewed it, then screwed it back in incorrectly)- may have to exchange it or have them open it for me.

Recipe of the Week: Spicy Sausage Pasta- inspired by a Pinterest recipe that I made a bit more WW friendly.

Ingredients:
1 10oz can Rotel
1 12oz can Tomato Sauce
4 Cheddar Bratwurst links
2 Green Peppers
1 medium Onion
1.5 cups Water
16oz Penne
1 cup Part-Skim Mozzarella

Put all ingredients except the cheese in the crock pot for 3.5 hours- stir occasionally.  Add cheese, let sit for another 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Eat and enjoy!  Makes 10 decent-sized servings at 9 PP each.

I had mine with a side salad and was very satisfied.

Now, time to try to relax before the school year officially begins!
